This is a lesson I learned, I am not sure how useful it is to others. There is also a bunch of context behind this advice that I can't get into in public, and I am aware I might get misinterpreted due to missing context.
There is no infinitely safe space.
There is no such thing as a person who will protect your secrets till death with above 99% probability, and not leak your secrets later on when their values change, or when they are in a new situation with different incentives, and so on.
There is no such thing as a person who will stay allied with you till death with above 99% probability, and not break your alliance later on when their values change, or when they are in a new situation with different incentives, and so on.
Accept that no one can be fully trusted and figure out a way to navigate that. Don't waste your energy trying to find a perfectly safe space, it does not exist.
