I wrote (yet another) post on AI timelines today. The post is not bad in quality. However, I regret writing it and burning almost an entire day the process.
It ic correct that I am finding it emotionally aversive to write on my website. I have correctly identified that I am hiting diminishing returns to pure theorising on many topics - be it morality, be it that cyberattack wala document, be it dating - and I need to now interact with reality more and get more data. I have correctly identified that I need to write more code, and write less words.
Try to enforce this on your future posts. More of your posts should be of the form "I did X, response was Y." This means you're reporting actual contact with reality, as opposed to endless theorising.
Example
I opened twitter today to cold DM some more people, however I finally DMed nobody and it was painful at the end of it. First there was the actual pain that going through twitter can induce then a second hand effect of oh, whatever little time you had left today to work, that also you have burned.
"I opened twitter today to cold DM some more people" is X, and the rest of the sentence is Y.
Ideally document more important actions than this, although this also counts.
