People with moral convictions don't regret political violence

(Incomplete) List of people who engaged in political violence but have no (publicly stated) regrets:
Bhagat Singh - read his autobio for more, he says he didn't regret his atheist socialist leaning even when he was about to die.
Ted Kaczynski - replied to letters from prison his entire life continuing to support his violent anarchoprimitivist ideology
Julian Assange - see his speech when he came out of prison, he clearly still has no regrets about his actions
I could include some politicians names here like literally Hitler or Nelson Mandela for instance, but I'm less keen to trust politicians to reveal their private motivations in general.
This is a counter to all the people who think morality and self-esteem are simple, and everyone will converge to supporting "zero political violence" if they thought more about morality and self-esteem.
