Whistleblowers lean non-violent and this is a problem for me
Disclaimer
Quick Note
Main
In general, the type of person who becomes a whistleblower seems to often be someone who has undergone significant moral injury. They've seen their organisation cross moral lines that are too much for them. Hence they're naturally going to be drawn to people on the other extreme, people who are quite non-violent.
Example: Daniel Ellsberg attending meetings with (non-violent) anti-war activists.
However, my message to whistleblowers seems to be more like "quit your violent pro-ASI faction and join the violent anti-ASI faction, because we are the lesser evil for the world."
Maybe this sort of message is less appealing to a would be whistleblower? Not sure, it's worth collecting more data here. (I'll have to figure out how to do that.)
