Thinking aloud, may not endorse after a lot of thought
Main
In various posts on my blog, I have suggested a number of different protest spots for the anti-ASI movement
(Listing spots besides the US AI company offices, where anti-ASI protests have already happened)
Powerful people
Protest at Fort Meade - to get attention of US intelligence community
Protest at whichever conferences in LA all the top youtubers attend
Protest at some spot in Taipei city - to get attention of Taiwanese politicians and billionaires
(Maybe) Protest at Capitol - to get attention of US politicians
Public
Protest at NeurIPS / ICML - to get attention of future recruits for AI companies
Protest at all the top QS-ranked STEM colleges
(Right now anti-ASI movement has only cracked scalable persuasion for young atheist technical high IQ nerds who haven't yet locked in their career path. Until they crack scalable persuasion for a different audience, might as well double down on what actually seems to work even a little bit.)
One major issue is just, all this takes a lot of time and money. It might actually be far more efficient for a group to visit all the protest spots in a continuous tour within a span of a couple weeks.
