- Assassination markets, bounties for leaking classified information, and so on, were theorised in the 90s itself in the cypherpunks mailing list.
- However, it took the 2020s for this to happen more often. Ethereum had to happen, investor ecosystem had to build on top of it, degenerate gambling had to become normalised on polymarket, people in US republican circles had to be purchased for prediction markets to become allowed, and so on. And now finally we have people betting on polymarket and leaking possible classified information.
- I should think more along these lines, for how to get the money. A lot of information will just straightforward come out into the public if people leaking the info could get paid to do so.
